Altrincham Grammar School’s ROCK OPERA get’s the thumbs up

The audience were treated to a very different interpretation of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” as a Rock Opera.

Thank you to all the pupils from Altrincham Grammar for a very enjoyable evening.

New theatre gets a good clean and lick of paint

First phase (see plan drawing) is priority, so we can start to put plays on in our new venue.

The theatre would allow us to host events eg. an annual play festival, film presentations, afternoon teas and to offer the facilities to local groups, businesses, schools and colleges to use within the local

community.

Tom Chinnery receives the Alma Wheatley Award from the NPTC President, Rod Ashman at the 2018 AGM, for his contribution within the theatre over the last year.

Congratulations to Tom Chinnery, on winning the GMDF 2018 Best Supporting Actor Award for his role of several characters in “Ladies’ Day”

Plan for the NEW theatre on Church Road, Northenden

(site of the old Northenden Library)                       Jan 2017

£200k ‘Raise the Roof’ project

It is our plan to carry out this project in three phases.

Hopefully with major funding the second and third phases can be carried out to complete the whole project in the future.

The fundraising project is already underway and we need you to spread the word to family and friends about our exciting project, and together help support the theatre.

The new venue would enable  us to continue our 75 year tradition of live theatre in the village.

Please get involved and help to make this project a reality and set the foundations for the future generations to enjoy live theatre in the local community for the next 75 years.

New theatre visitors

Work is underway at the old library building in preparation for converting it to our new theatre. As you can see from the photographs there is much hard work to do before we can open for business.

Recent visitors to the site were the three local councillors who with the help of our Secretary have secured the building as our new home.

We will be moving a lot of equipment over the next few months to our new building, we would appreciate any help you can give us with this operation.

If you feel you can help in any way, please contact our Secretary Andrew Foulkes by phone 07846 089035 or email him at:
